Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research(LCSR) in St.-Petersburg

Laboratory for Comparative Social Research(LCSR) in St.-Petersburg announces a call for applications to take a position of research assistant on part-time basis (20 hours per week), contract duration from October 1 till December 31, 2013 (with possible prolongation in 2014).

Eligibility: students (bachelor, MA and PhD) from sociological, political science and economic departments are welcomed. In case you are interested in comparative social studies using big data sets and want to learn much from leading scientists, to work in the international and friendly environment, this position is exactly for you!

The assistants are expected to work on collective LCSR projects, participate in regular weekly seminars, international LCSR conferences, international workshops, summer schools and also perform administrative functions. Research assistants get full guidance in their own projects in case they want to have them. The core idea is to train them to be publishable and experienced in modern quantitative methods used in social science with focus on comparative research.
