Conference
Crises and the distribution

The financial crisis of 2007/8 was followed by the first contraction in the global economy since World War II: the Great Recession. This Recession not only lowered the average living standard, but, most likely, it also changed the shape of the income distribution. These effects are likely to differ by countries and societal groups.

A conference on Crises and the distribution will be held in Berlin on September 29th and 30th, 2014. The conference is linked to the Ph.D. program on “Public economics and inequality,” which is arranged by the Hans-Böckler Foundation in collaboration with the Free University Berlin.

Deadline for submission: 4th July, 2014

Notification of acceptance: 1st August, 2014

Deadline for registration: 8th August, 2014

The Journal of Income Distribution offers scholars to publish their theoretical, empirical, policy-oriented, and methodological studies to enhance our knowledge on the interrelations between “Crises and the distribution” in a Special Issue.

All submissions will undergo a double-blind refereeing procedure. Selected peer reviewed papers will be published in the special issue “Crises and the distribution” of the Journal of Income Distribution.
