The Department conducts basic and applied research in management, economics, systems dynamics, and risk. Much of our research work aims at improving the understanding of technology in organizations, societies, and economies. We provide a highly competitive Master of Science (MSc) Program in Management, Technology, and Economics, Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) Programs in the same field, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Program in Supply Chain Management.
D-MTEC offers doctoral studies in management, economics, systems design, and risk.
D-MTEC also provides seminars and lectures in management and economics to other departments and master programs at the ETH Zürich.
D-MTEC is home to KOF Swiss Economic Institute, Switzerland's premier institute for business cycle research. It is the most renowned research institute focusing on Swiss macroeconomic developments. The KOF conducts well-founded and independent research with respect to Swiss and international business cycle developments and empirically investigates structural and policy-relevant topics in the field of macroeconomics.
