The main objective of CLF will be fulfilled through research and consultancy work, evaluation and observation, knowledge gathering and documentation, development of concepts and methods, teaching and dissemination of knowledge.

This work must i.a. take place in a close exchange of ideas and experience with interested parties and through collaboration on research and development tasks with external research and development environments.

State contributors are the Ministry of Interior and Health, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and University of Southern Denmark. External earnings will form part of the budget.
