Tridico, Pasquale

Pasquale Tridico is Assistant Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Roma Tre in Rome (Italy). He teaches: Labour Economics  (undergrad.) and Economic Development (master) at Roma Tre, and European Union Economics (at La Sapienza University of  Rome ).

He did a PhD on Transition economics. During his PhD he was working at the Sussex University in Brighton (UK), and in Warsaw, at the Warsaw School of Economics (Poland). During his 3 years of post doctoral research he was working in a European Project in several Universities: Trinity College of Dublin (Ireland), New Castle University (UK), Lancaster University (UK) and Warsaw University (Poland). In the fall of 2009 he was visiting research scholar at the University of Los Angeles in California (UCLA). He his currently external Research Associate at the Institute for International Integration Studies (IIIS), at Trinity College in Dublin. For the academic year 2010-11 he got a Fulbright-Schuman at the New York University.

His main research focuses on Variety of Capitalism and Determinant of Economic Development in Transition and Emerging Economies. He published several articles on this topic in Transition and Development journals and he has a coming out book with Palgrave with the title: “Institutions, human development and economic growth in Transition Economies”.

He works also on labour market issues such as flexicurity, labour productivity, human capital and comparison, within the European Union, of labour market policies.
