The Competition takes place in two stages:

Stage One

Submission of a 1000 word (max) abstract and a current CV to info@rsa-ls.ac.uk before the 30th April 2010.

Stage Two

The Competition Jury will shortlist finalists by 31st May 2010. All entrants will be informed of the outcome of their submission.

Finalists will be invited to prepare a poster (see the Competition Guidelines for this) and to be prepared to take questions on their poster from the Competition Jury.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------^^^

Preparing your Poster

- Posters should be of standard size (no larger than 100 x 70 cm) and will be mounted on display boards, which will be available on the first floor of the Charlemagne building, European Commission (metro stop: Schuman).  Authors should arrive at least 1 hour before the scheduled session to mount the posters on the display boards.

- Your poster should be designed to be easy to read on a standard computer screen; note that a conventional A1 - A0 sized poster is not suitable for online reading. The design should be easy to navigate without excessive scrolling.

- Ideally, a visitor with normal eyesight should be able to display at least half the poster on a standard computer screen, whilst still able to read the text, and in a manner that is consistent with the navigation of the poster.

- Use the poster format where your material can easily be communicated visually and make a unified, coherent statement. Materials, both textual and visual, should be of professional quality and be clearly legible from a distance of 1 meter.

- Text should be limited to brief statements. For more information on the display of posters, please contact: sylvain.kempeneers@ec.europa.eu  or melanie.kupper@ec.europa.eu

- The poster session consists of posters exhibited for informal browsing with opportunities for individual discussion with poster authors.
