Times Higher World University Rankings

The Times Higher World University Rankings, compiled by QS Quacquarelli Symonds Network, represent a first attempt to compare the world's top universities.
The ranking is available on the Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) website - which offers a free registration for 14 days - and is based on the following multiple indicators:

• Peer reviewing, based on a poll of 1,300 academics in 88 countries.

• The Teachers/Students ratio.

• The internationalization rate, given by the percentage of the academic staff and of the students coming from other countries.

• The number of research citations, based on the Essential Science Indicators edited by Thomson Scientific.
