Call for papers

Corporate Responsibility Research Conference

Call for papers

The CRRC committee is pleased to announce the 2007 conference. This year’s conference will take the form of a series of workshops (half day) and symposiums (full day) on specific topical themes in corporate responsibility. The aim is to advance corporate responsibility research through presentation of a few papers to start extended discussions. Each workshop or symposium will produce a research briefing containing the papers presented and outcomes of the discussion.

In addition workshop topics requiring papers are

• Climate change & business (Chairs: Frances Drake & Karin Hufnagel)

• CSR and Development (Chair: Ralf Barkemeyer)

• CSR in the public sector (Chair: Arun Sahay)

• Fair trade (Chair: William Young)

• Governance and SD (Chair: William Sun)

• Green economics perspectives on corporate social responsibility (Chair: Miriam Kennet)

• Social license and the influence of non-state regulation (Chair: Andy Gouldson)

• Responsible trade and China (Chairs: Frank Birkin & Zhen Liu)

• SD evaluation (Chair: Frank Figge)

• Sustainable Entrepreneurship (Chairs: Bradley Parrish & Fiona Tilley)

• Textiles & SD (Chair: Richard Blackburn)

Workshop chairs

Each of the above themes will be led by a chair. If you would like to organize a half day workshop (3 papers and extended discussion) on the above themes or another, please contact Dr William Young

Best paper awards

The conference committee will review all papers presented and award two prizes at the conference dinner on Monday 16th July: CRRC best overall paper & CRRC best PhD paper.

The criteria are contribution to the research field and quality of the research and paper

Abstracts submission

Initial abstracts of approximately 200 words should be emailed to Dr William Young by 1 June 2007.

Format: MS Word or PDF format. File name should be first author’s surname. Please include names, affiliations and contact details of authors.

Authors will be notified of acceptance or not by 15 June 2007.

Papers

Authors with accepted abstracts are required to email a full paper to Dr William Young by 1 July 2007.

Format: Papers should not be more than 8,000 words (all inclusive). MS Word or PDF format. Use the paper format template provided [58 KB] . File name should be first author’s surname. Please include names, affiliations and contact details of authors.

Papers will not be accepted until speaker(s) have registered for the conference
