Call for papers
CEDI was founded as a formal Research Centre based at Brunel University in
November 2005. Its activities cover the emerging research field of Economic
Development and Institutions, incorporating development economics, comparative
economics and transition economics. The aim of our third annual conference is to
bring together scholars and researchers of development economics and neighboring
fields and to provide a forum for exchange on recent research in this area.
Papers in any subfield of development economics, institutional economics, political
economy and transition economics are welcome.
Interested contributors are requested to submit both an abstract of max 150 words
and a full pdf paper by April 15 2008 to Ralitza.Dimova@brunel.ac.uk. Acceptance notes
with further detailed information will be sent by the beginning of May.

Fees and travel expenses
While there is no conference fee, participants are expected to cover their own travel,
accommodation and subsistence expenses.
