Description:
The Department of Economics at the University of Heidelberg is inviting applications for a 2-3 year position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Research Center for Environmental Economics (www.eco.uni-heidelberg.de).
The position arises through external funding for a research project in regulatory/environmental economics. The project studies the possible and necessary changes in the regulatory design of environmental policy brought about by improved access of citizens to environmental information. The postdoctoral researcher will be part of a team of four economists that will combine applied theory, experimental methods, and econometrics.
We are primarily looking for a postdoctoral researcher in applied micro-econometrics, empirical regulatory economics, or empirical environmental economics. Postdoc researchers with expertise in experimental economics and an interest in regulatory applications will also be considered.
The primary responsibilities include conducting high-quality research within the project, authoring research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and communicating project results to both academic and policy audiences. The secondary responsibilities include project management and coordination and, over time, project leadership.
Salary is set according to qualifications and experience (approx. €37,000 - 52,000, payscale TVL-E13, 100%).
To apply, submit a cover letter outlining your interest and qualifications for this position, an academic CV including publications, at least two letters of reference. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.
For informal inquiries regarding this position, contact Timo Goeschl (goeschl [at] eco [dot] uni-heidelberg [dot] de).
