The world is facing an economic crisis that is likely to change business relationships all over the world. In times of crisis, the care for the common good often focuses on the needs of those who are close to us. However, in an economy shaped by globalization, the common good can no longer be sustained in small islands of happiness. It needs the mutual effort of people from all over the world. Business can contribute to this aim by creating employment in responsibly managed enterprises, by offering opportunities to the most destitute in social enterprises and by creating innovative approaches that harmonize societal and business interests.
The aim of the conference is to explore how corporate social responsibility and entrepreneurship can contribute to the common good and provide answers to the challenges posed by the current economic crisis.
We invite contributions from a wide range of academic and professional perspectives. Possible topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Corporate responsibility in today’s world
- Responsible leadership in the economic crisis
- Entrepreneurship in developing economies
- Social enterprises and empowerment
- Enterprises and the common good.
Proposals should be sent in Word or PDF format to
