About SABE
SABE, founded in 1982, is an association of scholars who are committed to rigorous economic analysis and are interested in learning how other disciplines—e.g. psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, political science, and biology--further our understanding of economic behavior. An important function of SABE is to serve as a forum for research which may not find either comprehension or acceptance in conventional economics societies. SABE is open to all aspects of behavioral economics, including experimental economics. SABE also aims at facilitating vibrant communication between economists and scholars trained in related disciplines. The Journal of Socio-Economics, founded in 1971 by Richard Hattwick continues to be edited by SABE members.

Call for papers
Conference Themes: (1) unifying the social sciences through behavioral economics, (2) behavioral economics and the family, and (3) behavioral economics and neuroscience. The three broad topics above are the themes of the three mini-conferences which will be part of the overall conference. All papers relevant to behavioral economics are equally welcome and will be represented at the conferences.
Behavioral economics and economic psychology have made significant advances over the past two decades impacting on economic theory and public policy. These realms of research are influenced by research in economics, psychology, sociology, biology, neuroscience, institutions as well as being informed by traditional empirical studies and evidence derived from experimental economics and surveys, interviews, and simulations. Thus, behavioral economics and economic psychology are enriched by a knowledge base that spans the disciplinary divide.
The SABE Conference aims at providing voice to economists, psychologists and other academics to rigorously discuss and debate their latest research in a welcoming scholarly environment. We welcome paper submissions as well as session submissions, be they of a theoretical or empirical bent, on all relevant topics relating to behavioral economics and economic psychology.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------^^^
Deadline
Participants may submit proposals either for a general session or a topic covered by one of the 3 mini-conferences.
The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2010. You will be notified by April 30, 2010, whether or not your submission has been accepted for presentation.
