Andriani, Luca

Luca Andriani is a lecturer of economics at the Department of Management of Birkbeck College University of London. He also holds a part-time lecturer position at the University of Connecticut (London base). Previous academic appointments include sessional lecturer at the Department of Economics, Mathematics and Statistics of Birkbeck College, City University, School of Oriental and African Studies. He is a research associate of the Centre for Palestine Studies (SOAS), member of the Social Capital Working Group for International Initiative for Promoting Political Economy (IIPPE) – SOAS, member of the Association for Social economics and of the World Economics Association. His educational background includes a BA (Hons) in Political Science in Torino (Italy), a Graduate Diploma, MSc and PhD in Economics at Birkbeck College University of London. His main research interests are social capital, trust, tax morale, regional economics, industrial districts and development economics. Currently he is working on the role of the informal network in the Palestinian labour market.
