Christoforou, Asimina

Asimina Christoforou is Adjunct Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, and Co-ordinator of the Social Capital Working Group of the International Initiative for Promoting Political Economy (IIPPE). She is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Economic Issues and Forum for Social Economics.
She obtained her PhD in Economics at the Department of International and European Economic Studies of the Athens University of Economics and Business, with a tesis on "Social Capital and Development in Greece Compared to Countries of the European Union".

Research interests

Social capital, human development, regional economics and policy, European integration, third sector (voluntary associations and social organisations), ethics and economics, institutional economics.
