Classifica delle riviste di Economia

La classifica è basata sui seguenti indici di impatto sul dibattito scientifico internazionale:

• L'ISI Impact factor calcolato dalla Thomson Reuters nell'ambito del Journal Citation Reports. Le informazioni sull'Impact Factor sono tratte dai siti web delle singole riviste, che riportano l'IF nella loro home page. Informazioni sul metodo di calcolo dell'ISI Impact Factor sono disponibili su Wikipedia.

• L'Article Influence Score calcolato dall'Eigenfactor Project del Bergstrom lab presso il Dipartimento di Biologia dell'Università di Washington.

• L'H-index calcolato per le riviste economiche dal RePEc Project sulla base dell'analisi delle citazioni effettuata dal CitEc project, che usa dati tratti dal database di RePEc. Informazioni sull'H-Index sono disponibili su Wikipedia.

I dati sono stati raccolti sul web e la redazione delle classifiche è effettuata nel modo che segue:

a) A partire da una serie di elenchi di riviste scientifiche presenti in rete (per esempio la Wikipedia list of academic journals e la RePEc list of economics journals), abbiamo visitato i siti web delle singole riviste per vedere il valore più recente dell'ISI Impact factor, che viene generalmente riportato dall'editore nella home page.

b) Le riviste sono state ordinate sulla base dell'ISI Impact factor, che costituisce pertanto il principale criterio di classificazione. Naturalmente si tratta di una scelta discutibile, per cui sono benvenute critiche, commenti e suggerimenti in proposito.

c) Insieme all'ISI Impact factor riportato da ciascuna rivista sul proprio sito web, abbiamo raccolto, dove disponibili, anche l'Article Influence Score , l'H-index e la posizione della rivista sulla base di tali indici.
