Cerna - Centre of Industrial Economics

The Cerna is the Centre of Industrial Economics at MINES ParisTech (formerly the Ecole des mines de Paris).

Nine senior researchers and about 15 PhD students and post-docs work in the three main areas: economics, quantitative finance and economic analysis of globalisation. It is also host to the ParisTech Chair of Media and Brand Economics.

The Cerna is actively involved in applied research that seeks to answer questions posed by decision-makers in the private and public sectors.

So its research projects are carried out in the framework of partnerships involving academics, private enterprises, local and national governments and international bodies.

These partnerships are managed by the non-profit research association, ARMINES.

The current director of the Cerna is Matthieu Glachant.
