Post-doc Behavioral Economics at Lund University

The Department of Economics, Lund University invites applications for a post-doc position in Behavioral Economics. Lund University is an internationally top ranked university, in the top 100-list of the Times Higher Education ranking, and is one of the largest universities in Scandinavia. Lund is an old attractive university town 10 minutes from Malmö and 40 minutes from Copenhagen.

The Department of Economics is a well-established research and teaching institution with a full-scale postgraduate program and is currently undergoing a strong expansion. One area of expansion has been Behavioral Economics and the department now hosts an active group of researchers working in this field. Besides an attractive research environment at the Department of Economics, close connections with other departments in Lund and neighboring Copenhagen offer excellent opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary work.

We wish to fill the position no later than September 2013, although there is room for some flexibility. The position is for three years with a possible extension of an additional three years, and comes with a competitive teaching and salary package. Although it is not a tenure-track position, other tenured positions are regularly opened-up at the department, and all non-tenured researchers are encouraged to apply. The position is conditional on funding, which will be decided in the beginning of December 2012.

The position is open for applicants with research background in Behavioral Economics. Experience of experimental methods is seen as a merit. Applicants should hold a recent PhD, or be close to finishing their thesis. Interested candidates should email their applications to [email protected] no later than December 1, 2012. The application should include a detailed CV with a list of publications and working papers, one job market paper, the names and addresses of two recommenders, and a cover letter describing your future research plans. An additional publication/working paper may be included in the application, but it should be made clear which paper is considered to have most merit.
