Konya University is a state university founded in Konya by Law No. 6005 dated 07.14.2010  and  this act published in the Official Gazette dated 07.21.2010 and numbered 27 648.

Prof. Dr. Muzaffer ŞEKER  has been appointed Rector of  Konya University by the Presidency  of  Republic  of Turkey in accordance with the 130th. article of the Constitution and  13th article of  the Higher Education Law No. 13 of 2547 on the date of 10/12/2010.

Our University consists of nine faculties: faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, faculty of Engineering and Architecture, faculty of  Science, faculty of Tourism,  faculty of Education, faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, faculty of Aeronautics and Space Sciences, faculty of Meram Medicine, faculty of Ahmet Keleşoğlu Education, faculty of Fine Arts, faculty of Theology and three Institutes: Institute ofSocial Sciences, Institute of Sciences, Institute of Education Sciencesand  a State Conservatory,  a  School of Foreign Languages and  a college.
