The IV Social Capital and Health Global Network Workshop on Social Capital and Health is organized by the University of Padova and will take place at Palazzo del Bo, Archivio Antico, Padova, Italy, on 4-5 October 2012.
Background
During the last few years there has been a considerable increase in the interest and in the number of publications on the relation between social capital and health. The literature consists both of theoretical studies, studies based on micro-data within a single country and comparative cross-country studies at the aggregate and disaggregated levels. Relatively less attention has been devoted on the channels through which social capital influence health.
